2026 SRDC Charity Raffle
The Society for the Relief of Disabled Children (SRDC) was founded in 1955, at a time when medical and rehabilitation services for children with disabilities were limited in Hong Kong. From the beginning, SRDC was guided by a clear purpose: to support children with special needs and their families with compassion, practical support, and long-term commitment.
This purpose took root at Sandy Bay with the development of The Duchess of Kent Children’s Hospital at Sandy Bay (DKCH). Initially established as a convalescent facility, DKCH gradually evolved to focus on the care and rehabilitation of children with complex orthopaedic and neurological conditions. Working within significant constraints, DKCH became known for its resilience, ingenuity, and collaborative approach.
Throughout this journey, SRDC played a central role in sustaining the institution. By providing governance, financial support, and long-term vision, SRDC enabled DKCH to adapt as medicine advanced and expectations of care evolved. Together, they created a model of care that placed the child, not the condition, at its heart – a legacy that continues to shape care today.
This year, we are raising funds to purchase medical equipment at DKCH. Your support can bring comfort and healing to children in need. Together, we can offer them hope and warmth—because few things in life are as rewarding as lending a helping hand.
Each booklet contains ten charity raffle tickets for just HKD200.
