China Patients Project

The aim of our program, China Patients Project, is to provide assistance to underprivileged children from China, whose family’s financial situation would not allow them the opportunity to receive proper medical treatment. The Society’s mission is to help needy children, regardless of their ethnic background and nationality. We hope to enable them, to live a happy and fulfilling life, where they contribute to society, and realize their full potential.

All patients who benefit from this program receive professional medical treatment in Hong Kong and return home in a significantly improved condition. We hope to help more China patients in the future.

Walk in confidence

Every child deserves to move through life with confidence. But for children like Zhen Zhen and Wei Ying, simple movements were once painful and difficult due to lower limb deformities or neurological conditions. Through corrective surgeries and rehabilitation in Hong Kong, they are now able to stand tall, walk steadily, and embrace a brighter, more active future.

Zhen Zhen

Wen Zhen had lower limb deformities which were worsening his walking abilities, caused him knee pain, and he often fell at school as his gait (manner of walking) was not stable.

Grow up stronger

Childhood should be a time of play and growth — but for children with osteogenesis imperfecta and other rare bone disorders, even the lightest impact can cause fractures and pain. With expert medical care and ongoing support, children like Huan Huan and Sweetie now have the chance to grow stronger, live more freely, and dream beyond the limits of their condition.

Huan Huan

Huan Huan was diagnosed with Osteogenesis imperfecta (an inherited bone disorder that causes soft, weak, and easily broken bones) with multiple limb deformities and scoliosis.

Su Yu Xin

Xin Xin was diagnosed with a genetic disorder causing the patient to have fragile bones. Her limbs started to deform at her age of four because of multiple fractures.

Chen Pei Fen

Chen Pei Fen’s left femur was fractured 40 days after birth and he was later diagnosed with Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI), also known as “brittle bone disease”, causing fragile bones.

Li Yue Wen

Li Yue Wen was diagnosed with osteogenesis imperfecta (OI). His deformities over his right femur and both tibias were left untreated, which resulted in him not being able to walk.

Sweetie

She was diagnosed with Type V Congenital Osteogenesis Imperfecta Disease (a rare form of OI). In addition, Sweetie also suffers from Scoliosis (a deformed spine).

Step into a brighter future

Foot and leg deformities can limit a child’s ability to walk, play, and join in daily life. Many of these conditions, when left untreated, worsen over time. But thanks to timely intervention, children like Li Guang, XiaoYan, and ZhenPeng now walk with confidence and joy — one step closer to their dreams.

Li Guang

Li Guang was a young beggar with disability when found on street by a kind foreigner in China. With his bilateral feet deformities, the unfortunate boy could not walk properly.
