Medical Education

With the support of SRDC we have established a leadership position in the area of Primary Immunodeficiency Disorders (PID) not only in Asia, and also recognised worldwide.

We therefore founded the Asia Pacific Society for Immunodeficiencies (APSID) in 2016, dedicated to improving patient care through education and research for this group of rare diseases. Professor Lau Yu Lung is the Founding President of APSID, and doctors in Asia dedicated to the care of children with PID are united now in their efforts through APSID.

Through APSID, we are promoting education for young doctors who are committed to helping children with PID, not only in Hong Kong but from all parts of Asia through organising Schools and Congresses. The achievements of APSID could not be possible without the continuing support of SRDC which has helped create a long-lasting impact far beyond the projects supported.
