Kids love Kids on the Block

SRDC first brought puppet troupe Kids on the Block (KOB) to Hong Kong in 1995, and since then the shows have been a roaring success, entertaining more than 500,000 children in over a thousand local and international schools.

Using puppetry as the medium, KOB excels in bringing out different thematic messages through vivid stories, with the aim of promoting inclusiveness, caring about society, as well as understanding and accepting others to students, with themes that cover topics such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Learning Difficulties, Down’s Syndrome and Epilepsy among many others.

The Cantonese puppeteers are all volunteers, and most of them are retired individuals, with the English puppet show supported by a local professional drama group.
